How the site is built

Interior Design EU is built as semantic HTML with one heading hierarchy per page, a skip link to the main content, labelled navigation landmarks, tables with header cells, text alternatives on every image and no functionality that depends on scripts, so the site works with screen readers, keyboard navigation and text-only browsers.

Small screens and zoom

Every page reflows to a single column on screens of 390 pixels and narrower, tables stack their cells with the column label printed before each value, and the layout continues to work when a browser is zoomed to 200 percent or when the visitor applies a larger default font size.

Colour and contrast

Body text is near-black on white with a contrast ratio above 12:1, links are underlined rather than distinguished by colour alone, and the single red accent is used for emphasis and the current section marker, never as the only carrier of meaning.

Known limitations

Illustrations on the site are generated images described by their alternative text and captions, and a small number of source documents linked from articles are PDF files whose accessibility depends on their publisher.

Reporting a problem

A visitor who cannot use part of Interior Design EU can write to info@interior-design.eu.com with the page address and a description of the difficulty, and the editorial team will reply within ten working days and fix confirmed problems in the next site update.
