Editorial policy
Every figure comes from a named source
Interior Design EU publishes a number only when the editorial team has read the page that contains the number during the writing of the article, and every article links to the exact page, dataset or document from which each figure was taken. Figures are quoted with their unit, their reference year and the condition that makes them true, such as the chair type, the room type, the country or the edition of the standard. Where a source gives a decimal comma, the article prints a decimal point.
How standards are cited
European standards are sold by national standards bodies rather than published free, so Interior Design EU cites the official abstract, a licensed copy or a technical summary from a laboratory or manufacturer, and states which edition the quoted numbers belong to. Where a number is taken from an earlier edition because the current text was not available, the article says so in the sentence.
How statistics are cited
Eurostat figures are cited with the dataset code, the reference year and a link to the data browser page or the news release, so that a reader can rerun the query. Secondary summaries of Eurostat data are named as such and are used only when the primary dataset does not carry the aggregate quoted.
Independence
Interior Design EU accepts no advertising, no sponsored content, no affiliate links and no payment for coverage, and the editorial team holds no commercial relationship with any manufacturer, certifier, laboratory or standards body named on the site. Products and brands are named only where a source names them.
Corrections and updates
A reader who finds an error can write to info@interior-design.eu.com, and a confirmed error is corrected in the article with an updated date shown under the title. Articles are reviewed when a cited standard is revised, a regulation is replaced or Eurostat publishes a new reference year.
Language
Interior Design EU writes in British English, uses SI units, prints currency with its code and year, and avoids marketing language, so that each sentence can be read on its own and checked against its source.
