Eurostat figures on labour costs, price levels, furniture output and housing, compared across Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Poland.
Interior work is priced by three things: the hourly cost of the people who do it, the price level of the goods that go into it, and the cost of the building around it. Eurostat publishes all three. The labour cost survey (dataset lc_lci_lev) gives an hourly labour cost of 34.9 EUR for the EU in 2025, from 12.0 EUR in Bulgaria to 56.8 EUR in Luxembourg, and a separate figure for construction. The purchasing power parity programme (prc_ppp_ind) gives a price level index for furniture and furnishings in each country against an EU average of 100. The short-term business statistics (sts_copi_a) track construction producer prices, and the EU-SILC survey (ilc_lvho datasets) records dwelling type, rooms per person and overcrowding.
